What I Do
By specializing in elementary education, mathematics and culturally responsive teaching, I inspire educators and educational organizations to rethink pedagogy to honor student and educator brilliance and identity.
I am always impressed with Marian's preparation and disposition when giving presentations. Marian pushes participants to be reflective about their work and their impact with students and educational professionals. During her opening remarks at an EF + Math event, I appreciated the ways she connected acknowledging with engineering design, mathematics, and problem-solving. She is a teacher's teacher, and I am fortunate to have learned from her.

Marian Dingle’s webinar on inclusivity and belonging in the math classroom was one of the most powerful MMC has had this year and received an overwhelmingly positive response from the attendees. She tackled the topic of gatekeeping in the math education through local examples and her own personal experiences. I have seen Marian speak several times and each time is unique. She is a steady voice in the discussion of difficult topics that do not have easy answers. She empowers participants to continue the discussion and find solutions to make mathematics more inclusive for all students.

Marian's keynote at the 2020 Atrium Summer Math Institute was compelling, relevant, and humanizing. She began with a land acknowledgment that was striking. She proceeded to connect her family, her teaching, and her students to the social context of today, offering an account that was deeply personal yet somehow also universal and relatable. This powerful message provided a wonderful springboard for our work throughout the week as we explored math pedagogy and social justice.
